Philosophenweg, Heidelberg with a direct view on the Heidelberg Castle and the Old Town, the architect Weyrach built an architecturally strong building with great radiance.
The property, planned as a hotel and restaurant, had to undergo and have been followed by not always positive structural change in the ensuing hundred years of its history.

In 1967 the University of Heidelberg took over as a tenant. In 1981 the owner, Heidelberger Schlossquellbrauerei, sold the property for sale. The Heidelberg-based photo-designer Michael Steinke and his wife, who were full of enthusiasm for the history and architecture of the ensemble, acquired the property.
Today, the property - with seven luxurious residential units and gardens - unfolds on a place spoiled by Heidelberg's sunshine and its architectural beautifulness.
